Die Jukebox in der Ecke fällt Paula sofort auf, als sie den Job im Frisörladen annimmt. Eine gute Ablenkung, denn ihr neuer Chef verliert kaum ein Wort. Doch als Paula nach den Gründen seines Schweigen sucht, wünscht sie bald, sie hätte die Stelle nie angenommen.
The jukebox in the corner immediately catches Paula’s attention on her first day in Victor’s hair salon. The music is a welcome escape since her new boss hardly speaks at all. But when Paula starts to search for the reasons behind his silence, she soon wishes she hadn’t taken the position at all.
Synopsis
Ein Duft von Haarwachs und Zigarettenrauch liegt in der Luft. Der Dutt spannt die Kopfhaut und das kleine Radio spielt die aktuellen Hits. Es sind die 50er Jahre und die Welt in Victors Friseursalon ist in Ordnung – oder so scheint es. Denn in einer Ecke steht eine sonderbare Jukebox, die Paula, die neue Aushilfskraft, von Anfang an fasziniert: Die Maschine scheint auf mysteriöse Weise mit dem Friseursalon verbunden zu sein. Wie hätte Paula ahnen sollen, dass sie in großer Gefahr ist.
The smell of shampoo and cigarettes hangs in the air. The hair buns tear at the scalp and the newest hits play on a small radio. It’s the golden 50ies and Victor has his hair salon in perfect order – or so it seems. Because from her first day at the new job, Paula just can’t take her eyes off the strange jukebox in the corner. She senses that the machine is somehow connected to a dark secret. As Paula starts to take a deeper look at it, she doesn’t understand that her own life is on the line.
